Loved Gwent, and did the missions that got me more cards. I even downloaded the mobile app

I've never played the separate game version of it, but I remember playing Thronebreaker and really enjoying it.

I think it works particularly well in an open world rpg setting, too. Because it can be sprinkled around the world to add purpose to locations, without needing to be woven into the overarching plot (it has its own plot, sortof).

I would ask one more question: can you finish the main story using Gwent?

Imagine: you build a reputation, you enter the higher elites as a star, you influence politics due to contacts you can now have. Not only playing the mini-game, but actually getting closer to the ending because of your talents and reputation.

Optional, ofcourse.

Fishing is in many games.

Never heard of Gwent until today.

I didn't know Witcher was a video game until the whole hubbub about whats-his-face and other game fans getting upset at the TV show.

Apparently it's also a novel series. Which came 1st? Never mind. I don't care.
